What is Stock Music?

Stock Music is a type of music licensing that allows the purchaser to pay for the music license only once (this is done by simply buying the song or the complete compilation album) and use your song in a.o. (TV) commercials, films, for a video or on a website as background music without paying extra royalties for the use.

Stock Music is NOT music free of copyright. You will keep your copyright and composer royalties for the public performance of your music when it is used in a commercial, TV show or other TV program, and radio broadcasting. You will receive this income via the performance rights organization you are associated with.
