When I hear my track on a compilation album it sounds harder / softer than my original master, how is that possible?
A compilation contains songs from various artists and every song has his own sound level.
To make the album pleasing to the ear, we need to bring all the songs on a compilation album to the same sound level via re-mastering. This can result in tracks being harder or softer than the original.
